When LogMaster is run for the first time following screen is shown.
The first thing that needs to be done is to add a Vehicle. Vehicle
name or Trip name(like "Ski trip") can be added. To add a Vehicle
name press the Vehicle Setup button which is next to Vehicle spinner as
shown below
After clicking this button following list of option is shown if there is no
Vehicle
else following list is shown
Click on the Add option to show the following dialog
Enter Vehicle name and click Ok.
After Vehicle name has been added it becomes the selected item in the
following screen
By default Distance Unit is Kms, but it can be changed to Miles. To do this
press "Distance Unit Setup" button at the bottom and select the Distance
unit you want to use from the following dialog
Vehicle logs now can be added. To add a Vehicle log press the "Enter Log" button which will show the following screen
The first thing that this screen has is the Notes field which can be used to enter a brief description about the log.
Next press the button next to "Start Kms" to show a dialog to enter Start kms.
After adding Start Kms the screen should be like this
Notice the Start Date and Start Time are filled by the system. These can be changed if required.
At destination all that is required to do is to enter the End Kms. To do this press the button next to "End Kms" and enter End kms.
After adding End Kms the screen should like this
Notice the End Date and End Time are filled by the system. These can be changed if required.
At this point a Vehicle Log has been created and completed. This Log Entry can either be Canceled or Finished. If Log Entry is canceled then it will not show-up in viewing Logs.
To finish the Log press the button "Finish Log" which will show a confirmation dialog.
After the log has been finished the control goes back to the main screen.
To view log history press the button "View Log" which will show following screen
The logs are displayed for the Vehicle selected in the main screen.
Here a date range to view log details can be picked. The default date range is for 1 week. Press "Show" button to view the log or "Email Log" to email the log.
